Photo Safari in Botswana

Botswana Photo Safari Hyena
The ultimate in safari photography is to capture natural behavior as it unfolds such as these African wild dogs working as a team to rout a much larger spotted hyena.

I am very pleased to announce that The Wild Source has teamed up with accomplished safari photographer Russell Johnson to offer two photography safari workshops in Botswana during November 2011. These safari photography workshops have been ideally designed for those who are looking to travel with other serious photographers.

The safari is specially tailored to photographers and features the following amenities which are sure to appeal to photographers:

  • Special vehicle seating arrangements
  • Charter planes to allow for the full range of gear without worries on weight limits
  • Stellar areas for photography of diverse species
  • Expert Trackers - perhaps most importantly the Kwando Safaris guides and trackers who have well deserved reputations for their dedication to get out early, stay out late, track predators, and pursue action!

Limited Availability to Ensure a Prime Photography Experience

While this is a formula that will work for expert photographers, the workshop is limited to eight people to ensure that Russell has sufficient one on one time to assist the developing photographer looking to learn technique from an expert. Instruction will take place in the field as well as having sessions in camp, including photo review where all can benefit throughout the safari.

Plenty of Opportunities for Great Safari Photos

This is a safari planned at a brilliant time of year when many antelope begin to birth their calves. Vehicle access is at its best to take advantage of off road predator tracking and to seek out opportunities to view natural behavior throughout the stunning Kwara and Kwando concessions in Botswana. Please view the full itinerary here and contact me with any questions.
