On January 20th, Bill touched down in Johannesburg for a layover before really kicking off the 2010 Journaling safari. This is the typical pattern for Bill. He leaves Denver, connects in Atlanta and finishes his flight in Johannesburg. For most safaris to southern Africa, Johannesburg is the destination of choice for an overnight to acclimate to the time change. The next morning, he's usually off to his first safari destination. This is what happened on this safari as well - after spending the night of the 20th in Johannesburg, he moved on to Selinda Camp where he is now.
