Meet Doctor: Sankuyo Bush Camp Manager

Doctor is known for his wonderful personality and unusual ability to locate hard to find animals with a natural bush sense.

One of Botswana’s finest guides, Doctor, and his wife Tsogang are managing Sankuyo Bush Camp. This puts the camp in exceptional hands as Doctor and Tsogang have moved from Mapula Lodge (currently my favorite Botswana camp) to head up this critical new project.
Doctor is well known in the safari industry by his peers and by tourist visitors as he gained a lot of fans guiding at Kwando Kwara camp before moving on to Mapula Lodge. Many guests followed Doctor, allowing them to discover the magic of Mapula and no doubt lots of people will come to Sankuyo simply because Doctor is there.
It’s more than his bush skills, though he is exceptional at finding game and sharing knowledge. It is Doctor’s vibrant personality that keeps people following him; his enthusiasm is infectious. Doctor’s management at Mapula created the most welcoming of camps with a one of a kind village like atmosphere and resulted in an outstanding stable of young guides with great skill and a dedication to tracking for the best sightings. Tsogang worked as the cook at Mapula so brings a vital skill set with her as well. One of the unique aspects of Mapula is that most of the staff are couples and all were local people. I am glad to see that wonderful arrangement being transported to Sankuyo Bush Camp and I know it will be an extremely well run camp with a complete dedication to game viewing.
