I haven't had a ton of time for blog post entries lately because I've been working so hard on updating the content of the website itself.
My latest addition to the website is the Duba Plains Camp. This is one of my favorite areas in all of Africa - posted on the header of most of the pages of this website is one of the Duba Boys - one of a pair of lions who dominated this region for years. Time has marched on for the Duba Boys, both have died within the past year as I detailed in an earlier blog post. But these two were amazing for me to personally witness, and watching them on the Duba plains was certainly something special.

I encourage you to check out this brand new Duba Plains section of the website to learn both about the wildlife and accommodations that are present in this stellar concession. The Duba Boys may be gone but the Tsaro pride continues to deliver high drama in their daytime hunts of buffalo. A lone lion known as the Skimmer male has moved into control of the pride and has been mating with the Tsaro lionesses. However, a new mature male has been loitering in the area and is now associating some with Junior, a young male who was exiled from the Tsaro pride with the demise of the last Duba Boy so there could be some interesting conflicts soon to come between the males. Ordinarily my favorite areas are those that have the most wildlife diversity but the opportunity to witness lion-buffalo interactions are so unique and thrilling that this remains one of my favorite safari locations.
