North Luangwa National Park

North Luangwa National Park is an absolute favorite with safari aficionados. The feeling at North Luangwa National Park is wildly remote in the wilderness area dedicated to walkers. There are two intimate rustic bushcamps that each have a maximum of 6 guests making this one of the most exclusive safari locations possible.

North Luangwa National Park Cape Buffalo

Within North Luangwa National Park, the Mwaleshi River is the draw for animals and sightings of buffalo and Cookson’s wildebeest are specialties. There is a large lion population who thrive with the huge herds of buffalo. Game viewing in North Luangwa National Park continues to get better, but animals are noticeably more skittish than in South Luangwa which some people really appreciate as part of the far flung wild feel. North Luangwa National Park is a dry season park to be visited between June and October with the camps closed the rest of the year.
