Katavi National Park
Bill is staying at the Katuma Bush Lodge in Katavi National Park from May 14th - May 15th. The lodge is situated in the center of Katavi National Park and offers game viewing for a lot of different megafauna - especially Cape Buffalo. Cape Buffalo Herds in Katavi National Park can exceed 1,000 and some herds are reported to be the largest in Africa, topping out at over 3,000 individuals. Also at Katavi National Park during dry season is the spectacle of watching hundreds of hippos crowding into receding water areas.
Above, you can see Bill's progress. By this time he has moved on from Arusha for his two day stay in Katavi, and will be off to see the chimpanzees at Mahale National Park this weekend.
