Yesterday, Bill departed from the USA for Tanzania. I am Frank - Bill's webmaster - and I plan on keeping you updated as the trip progresses. He is visiting many different Tanzania National Parks, and many different camps within those parks. While this isn't Bill's first time to Tanzania, his goal on this trip is to broaden his Tanzania game viewing and accommodations knowledge. This trip will make his already very deep firsthand knowledge of Tanzania even deeper - thereby further ensuring that his clients receive planning and advice from a wildlife biologist and safari planner who knows Tanzania intimately.
Arusha, Tanzania - where Bill is currently - is 9 hours head of Colorado. As I type this, it is approaching noon in Colorado, USA - meaning it is approaching 9pm for Bill in Tanzania.
Above, you can see the plan for Bill's entire trip. His current location is the red pin (currently in Arusha). The next step is shown as a red line. All future camps are in blue, and future journeys are shown in blue as well. As the trip progresses, I will show past locations and legs of the trip in yellow. Bill's progress will be a general clockwise pattern starting and ending in Arusha. You can click on the pins to get more information about the camps that he'll be at along with the dates. You can also zoom in and out on the map - it is completely interactive. If we're lucky enough to get any pictures or updates from Bill, I will include those in the map at a later time as well (stay tuned).
Bill will need to focus on the game viewing and accommodations while he is in Tanzania, so his contact with us back here in the states will be limited. He will be back in the United States, and ready to resume all safari planning activities on May 28th. He plans on contacting everyone who wishes to make contact with him within a few days of his return. He already does have a bit of a backlog and will be contacting people in order of requests received - so if you have any safari planning related questions, you'd be best off submitting your contact request now to ensure he'll be able to contact you in a timely fashion. That way you'll also be one of the first to hear all about his Tanzania Trip!
