Zimbabwe Safaris Overview

Zimbabwe was once considered to be the ideal safari country. It is without argument that the country contained the finest trained safari guides in the industry. It also has amongst the best walking, canoeing, and game driving opportunities.

Unfortunately the country is in great despair due to the Robert Mugabe regime. The leaders continue to profit greatly while their people starve and lose everything. Travellers continue to go on safari in Zimbabwe and still have a seamless experience, many even report having spectacular trips. Victoria Falls continues to be a draw and travelers enjoy a great time at very good prices. There is a great case to be made that in order to conserve the remaining wildlife and parks, as well as deliver income to the hard working wonderful people travel must continue and thus we respect those who continue to visit. All that said we unfortunately suspect that the country is a time bomb and that travel will continue to be great until the day that everything falls apart and we cannot be responsible for having our client in that type of situation and thus we are not sending any clients to Zimbabwe. We also believe the harsh reality is there needs to be a complete cut off of funds going into the regime.
